As the name suggests, STDs are commonly transmitted by infected individuals through unprotected sexual intercourse. This prevents the further transmission of STDs to other sexual partners and the re-infection of the disease once the patient has been treated. Vaccinations for the prevention of Hepatitis can be given to patients who do not show any symptoms of this disease.
