Swollen glands in the area of the genital, itching, burning sensation, and pain when urinating are included in the symptoms of genital herpes. There is no cure for this type of disease. Treatment is given to lower the severity of the symptoms.

Hepatitis B

The symptoms of hepatitis B are mild fever, head and muscle aches, appetite loss, joint pain, nausea, and vomiting. Jaundice and yellowing of the skin, dark-colored urine and stomach pains are also common symptoms. Around 30% of infected individuals do not exhibit symptoms. Treatment for this STD involves taking medicine to help the liver fight the damage caused by the virus. Some people develop chronic HBV-infection.

HIV Infection and Aids

STD symptoms for this type may not be exhibited for at least ten years. Rapid weight loss, extreme fatigue, low-grade fevers are the most common symptoms. Yeast infections on the mouth include symptoms of blotches on or under the skin, inside the mouth, eyelids or nose. Women can develop vaginal yeast infections, other sexually transmitted diseases and pelvic inflammatory disease. There is no cure for HIV infection and aids. Medication is given only to prevent the virus from replicating itself.

Gonorrhea

The common symptoms of gonorrhea are pain when urinating and yellowish or bloody discharge from the vagina or the penis. However, many men with this STD do not exhibit symptoms. Gonorrhea can be completely cured but can be caught again if sex partners are left untreated or an individual have multiple sex partners that have such STD.
